Yucatan Peninsula, La Peninsula de Yucatan, is an area separating the Caribbean Sea from Gulf of Mexico. The Yucatan area consists part of Mexico, the northern part of Belize and El Peten state of Guatemala.

The area of Yucatan was the kingdom of ancient Maya civilization and still until today the Mayan languages are spoken on the are.

The crater of Chicxulub is located in the Yucatan. 65 million years ago an asteroid hit the Earth and it is said that this caused the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Delicious mexican food can include tacos, quesadillas, pambazos, tamales, huaraches, alambres and many other perfect dishes. México has one of the richest and widest gastronomies in the world. It is also one of the most beloved cuisines worldwide and you can find it almost anywhere on Earth.

The dishes contain ancient techniques which are followed and cherished until today. There are hints of pre hispanic local products and European ingredients such as certain spices like cinnamon, wheat, cattle, milk and cheese.
